    School and Community Backpack Fliers

Welcome to Backpack-Fliers, the central posting place for all District 106 approved community and school fliers. Over the past year, District 106 has moved to electronic distribution of fliers from community groups. District 106 supports the reduction in paper use as well as the decreased volume of mail that our students carry in their backpacks.

This page brings all approved fliers into one place for easy browsing and downloading. If you are logged on, you can subscribe to receive an email any time a new flier is added. You can do so by going to Your Account and subscribing to Backpack Fliers under the Subscriptions block.

    Added On: Nov 04, 2020    Downloads: 70
Description: Grand Avenue Burr Ridge Now Enrolling - Programs for Children Ages 2-6 Grand Ave is now enrolling children ages 2-6 for various programs at their Burr Ridge location. These programs include 1) afternoon Kindergarten Enrichment, 2) afternoon Preschool Enhancement and 3) “2’s are Grand.” Our programs not only reinforce what children are learning in school, but also give kids time to socialize with others, build their confidence and self-esteem. The afternoon Kindergarten Enrichment program "Full STEAM Ahead" is for children ages 5-6. Each day focuses on a different subject in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). Once the work is done, it’s all about fun activities with friends! This program is offered Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. Parents may select as many days for their child as they wish. Door to door provided bus service from Elm, Oak and Madison Schools is available. Our afternoon Preschool Enhancement class offers children ages 3-5 to participate in fun, theme related hands-on activities that support what they are learning in preschool. Activities include arts and crafts, imaginary play, work with fine motor skills, etc. The program is offered Tue, Wed and Thurs from 12:15-2:45 p.m. Extended day options available for children 3-5 years old including structured morning with circle time, letters, numbers, art projects, music with Mrs. Church, morning and afternoon snack, hot catered organic lunch. All extended day students will have opportunities to play at our new outdoor playground (weather permitting), free choice time, plus a mid-afternoon snack. The 2’s are Grand program is a 2-hour preschool program on Tue, Wed, Thurs mornings. Parents can pick 2- or 3-day option. Children do not need to be potty-trained, but masks are required. For 40 years, parents have trusted their children to Grand Avenue. We are a local, family owned business with directors on site every day. We have a high retention rate of experienced teachers. Grand Ave follows all IDPH COVID-19 guidelines. Grand Avenue Burr Ridge is located at 6880 N. Frontage Road in Burr Ridge, near the Loyola Center for Health. For more information, visit their website at www.GrandAvenuePreschool.com or contact Directors Nancy Hayes and Mindy Jashari at (630) 974-6150.
