Message from the Principal
Welcome to Highlands Middle School 2022 - 2023
I hope that everyone had a nice and restful break - there is so much to be thankful for this year and much of that has to do with Highlands. I am thankful that it has really been a great start to the school year, and I cannot believe we are 1/3 of the way done. More so, I am so glad that we were able to end the trimester on such a positive note ~ with a wonderful Veterans' Day breakfast and assembly, Choral Concert and our Parent Teacher Conferences.
I know our students will start this second trimester off on the right foot ~ New classes, new schedules and new opportunities. It is exciting to head into 2023 with such a positive momentum going. To boot, Mr. Steele and I are starting off this trimester with a reflection, celebration and re-boot with our students. We will meet with all students in all grade levels and share all the great things that are happening and those things that we are working to improve as well. We hope to move forward together as a true team.
Coming up in these next few weeks before break, we have many opportunities to celebrate our students as learners and performers. We hope to see you at either a band or orchestra concert, the Holiday Shoppe, or cheering on our boys' basketball and/or our cheer team. Keep encouraging your students to get involved and be a part of the Highlands community.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and your help in making these opportunities for our students possible.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to another fantastic week at Highlands.
Ms. Megan VerVynck, Principal
