District 106 currently partners with two third-party transportation providers:

• First Student, for regular education field trips and athletic events
• Grand Prairie Transit, for special education transportation needs

Free transportation services for special education students are provided if included in the student’s individualized education plan (IEP). Non-public students are transported in accordance with state law, and homeless students are transported in accordance with the McKinney Homeless Assistance Act.
