LRC Frequently Asked Questions
How can I find a book?
The Library Catalog is available online. Anyone can search the catalog to find materials available for checkout at the Library.
Parents: if you would like a book from the library, please email and we can send the book home with your child.
How many books can a student check out?
- Kindergarten-1st grade: 1 book each week
- 2nd grade: 2 books each week
- 3rd-4th grade: 3 books each week
- 5th-8th grade: limit is 6 books (check out what you need for 2 weeks)
When are students' books due?
Depending on grade level, there are different due dates for books:
- Kindergarten - 2nd grade = 1 week
- 3rd - 4th grade = 2 weeks
- 5th - 8th grade = 1 month
When can students check books out?
- K-2nd visit the library twice a week (day 1- instruction/ day 2- book checkout).
- 3rd-4th visit the library once a week for instruction and book checkout.
- Students may also return books after school until 3:30 p.m.
- Middle school students visit the Library with their Language Arts classes, at their teacher’s discretion.
