Description: Students continue to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening concepts developed this year through small group instruction and activities. Instruction will be personalized for students.

Description: Students will continue to develop early learning skills through targeted play and scaffolded activities. Enrollment is limited to students currently enrolled in the district’s early childhood program.

Class Title: Art for Everyone
Description: This class is for everyone who likes to create. We will use crayons, paint, clay, wood, and more to create artwork to display proudly at home.

Class Title: ¡Olé! Music, Movement, and Monsters for beginning Spanish students!
Description: Music, movement, videos, crafts, and more!! We will listen to fun music while we move and learn colors, numbers, and body parts (and more!) in Spanish. We will then create monsters and other original creatures with our new knowledge!! This class will be a mixture of physical activity and art and will be a whole lotta fun!!

Class Title: STEAMing it Up!
Description: Join us as we navigate through various STEAM-related programs and activities! The students will be using different STEAM-related resources, including computer automated design software Tinkercad, web-based robotics coding platform CoderZ, various digital art applications, and the chance to learn about drone flight on a simulator and real drone outside. Don't miss this opportunity to challenge yourself, be creative, and have fun with learning!

Class Title: Art Exploration
Description: This class is for students who love to explore art materials and ideas. We will use crayons, glue, paint, chalk, wood, fabric, and many more materials to create several art pieces to take home.

Class Title: ¡Olé! - Parte II - ¡Piñatas, Piñatas, Piñatas!
Description: This class is for students who have already had some Spanish language and are ready for some culture and art! We will make piñatas and other traditional artifacts from the Spanish-speaking world, such as masks and mosaics. We will also listen to popular and traditional music and possibly learn some traditional dance moves!!

Class Title: Highlands eSports
Description: Join us as we start a new adventure in the world of eSports at Highlands! Students will be using Nintendo Switches to compete on the popular eSports game Rocket League. eSports is one of the top trends in the educational world and is bringing success to a very diverse group of learners. eSports encourages various life skills, including teamwork, team building, and STEM learning, for everyone involved. Don't miss this chance to be the first group of students to embark on this new adventure!

Class Title: Choir Workshop
Description: Choir Workshop will focus on vocal development and musicianship skills through solo and large choral ensemble experiences. Singers will be exposed to elements of singing such as music literacy, music theory, and Solfeggio. They will also enjoy engaging in the study of vocal techniques such as diction and body alignment while having a chance to interact with their peers in a group setting.

Class Title: Show Choir Workshop
Description: Show Choir Workshop is designed to help the seasoned performer and those looking for their first show choir experience. Singers will have the opportunity to develop their performing arts skills through sessions on singing, choreography, and auditioning tips for Show Choir. Students will learn two pieces along with full choreography.

Class Title: Beginning Band Summer Camp
Description: Let's give this current 4th-grade class a head start on their instruments in the summer since we didn’t start beginning band in the Fall of 2020. This would also be an excellent camp for students that quit playing their instruments in the past year and want to start playing again. Students would work in a full band setting and sectionals with music professionals on their instruments.

Class Title: 5th-7th Grade Band Camp
Description: Our young musicians didn’t get to play much together in 2020-2021. Let’s get together and make music in person. During this band camp, students will work in a full band setting and sectionals with music professionals. Let's enjoy making music in person together again!
